Rodolfo Saboia took office on 23/12 as director general of the ANP. He was approved in the plenary of the Federal Senate and will occupy, in a four-year term, the vacancy left by Décio Oddone, who resigned in March of this year.
Since the departure of Décio Oddone until yesterday, when his term officially ended, the ANP directorate-general was occupied by Agency officials appointed by the President of the Republic, in a triple list, as determined by Law 9,986, of 2000, with the wording given by the General Law of Agencies (Law No. 13,848, of June 25, 2019).
Admiral Rodolfo Henrique de Saboia holds a bachelor’s degree in Naval Science from the Naval School (1978), a master’s degree in Command and Staff, a doctor in Maritime Policy and Strategy, both from the Naval War School, and a specialist in International Management from Coppead- UFRJ. He held several positions in the Brazilian Navy, the last being the Environment Superintendent of the Directorate of Ports and Coasts (DPC), until August 2020. With more than 40 years of service to the Navy, he was transferred to the reserves in 2012 as Rear Admiral.
