The oil tanker Eagle Passos, a vessel of the AET company, has already departed for Brazil and will reinforce the Transpetro fleet. The new unit left the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea and is expected to dock in Rio de Janeiro around the 11th of next month.
Eagle Passos is the latest in a series of four new second generation tankers with Dynamic Positioning (DP2) built for chartering to Petrobras. Tanker Eagle Petrolina, Eagle Paulinia and Eagle Paraíso have already been delivered.
With the new vessel, AET will now have a fleet of six relieving vessels with dynamic positioning in Brazil. The company also has the delivery of seven more DP2 relief vessels in the country during 2021-2022.
