Petrobras has qualified ten companies to participate in the next bidding process to contract its own FPSO under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) model: Brasfels and EBR (Brazil), Daewoo Shipbuilding, Hyundai and Samsumg (South Korea), Keppel Singapore , SBM (Netherlands), Technip (based in London) and Modec and Toyo (Japan). The Italian Saipem was disqualified.
Qualification will be valid for the next 12 months, a period in which an edict must be issued.
