The first Mero 2 oil in the Santos Basin pre-salt was delayed by one year. Petrobras’ business plan was scheduled for FPSO Sepetiba to start operating in 2022, but the company’s financial report released on Thursday (10/24) projects its start of production in 2023.
The construction and operation of the unit, which will have the capacity to process up to 180,000 bopd and 12 million m³ / d of gas, were contracted to SBM in June this year. According to Petrobras, the platform project has more than 10% of physical progress made.
The oil company has seven other FPSOs under execution: P-68, which will start production in the Berbigão field scheduled for this year; P-70 (Atapu 1/2020); Carioca (Sepia / 2021); Guanabara (Mero 1/2021); Admiral Barroso (Buzios 5/2022); Anita Garibaldi (Marlim 1/2022); and Ana Neri (Marlim 2/2023).
At the moment, Petrobras is bidding to contract the Parque das Baleias and Itapu FPSOs, which have first oil expected for 2022 and 2023, respectively.
