A new pre-salt platform will boost domestic oil and gas production. The National Petroleum Agency (ANP) has authorized Petrobrás to start the FPSO P-66 activity, in the Lula Sul module, in the Santos Basin.
ANP’s board of directors approved the extraordinary natural gas burn of up to 130,000 Mm³ in the first 180 days of operation of the unit. The beginning of the injection of water in the Lula Sul module should be carried out within 330 days after the first oil is delivered by the FPSO .
The P-66 will have the capacity to process 150,000 barrels of oil per day and 6 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. The unit, which is 288 meters long, has a storage capacity of 1.67 million barrels of oil.
The P-66 was the first FPSO of the Lula Consortium delivered in the Santos Basin Pre-Salt. The integration of the platform was done at the Brasfels Shipyard in Angra dos Reis, where equipment and systems tests also took place.
