Rio de Janeiro, January 14, 2016 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.- Petrobras hereby responds to Official Letter 91/2016-SAE, which requests the following clarifications:

OFFICIAL LETTER No. 91/2016-SAE

“Dear Sirs,

A news article published at painel.blogfolha.uol.com.br, on January 13, 2016, states, among other information, that Petrobras is expected to announce, in the coming days, the sale process of its full stake in the Braskem petrochemical.

We have not identified this information in the documents sent by the company through the Empresas.NET System. In case of contradiction, please inform the document and the pages containing the information, as well as the date and time in which they were sent.

We therefore request that you provide us with clarifications regarding the said news item by 9:00 a.m. on January 14, 2016, with your confirmation or not, together with any other information deemed relevant.”

Clarification

The Company ratified, when it announced the Adjustments to the 2015-2019 Business and Management Plan on January 12, 2016, the information that the divestments for the years 2015-2016 were maintained at US$ 15.1 billion, having reached the amount of US$ 0.7 billion in 2015.

As previously announced, the disinvestment portfolio is dynamic, since the development of the transactions will depend on the negotiation and the market conditions, which may change due to the market conditions and the ongoing analysis of the company’s business.
