Petrobras starts the year with a new round of renegotiations with suppliers

Petrobras said it plans to launch this month a new round of renegotiations of suppliers contracts in an attempt to reduce their operating costs. In 2015, the company managed to reduce by 13% on average, several contracts in the Campos Basin.
In a statement released by the company last December 30, the company pointed out that, with new technologies, it was able to save about $ 8 per barrel cost of pré¬sal extraction. This value, however, does not consider the cost of paying government nor the money needed for the recovery of investments, such as natural gas flow infrastructure, for example.
One of the decisive factors in reducing the cost, according to the company, was the fall of well drilling time in the pré¬sal, that time has reached less than 30 days in the Lula field. For comparison, in 2010, it took over 120 days to perform the same work.
