Rio de Janeiro, November 6, 2015 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras hereby responds to Official Letter 445/2015/CVM/SEP/GEA-1 requesting clarifications, as transcribed below:

“We refer to the news item published today, November 4, 2015, in Lauro Jardim’s Blog, entitled A novela da Sete (The Sete soap opera), which contains the following affirmations:

Yesterday, Petrobras’ Board of Executive Officers approved a restructuring plan for the troubled Sete Brasil.

However, the still has to be approved by the state-run firm’s Board of Directors, which will only meet at the end of the month.

According to what was defined today, Sete will take on the project to build 18 drilling rigs.

Given all the above, we would like you to confirm if the content of this news item is in fact true and, if so, why such information was not deemed to constitute a material fact.”

Clarification

As disclosed on October 14, negotiations are under way involving possible changes in the total number of drilling rigs already contracted, as well as other aspects.

Thus, the Executive Board of Petrobras has not acted on the “restructuring plan” of Sete Brasil.

Any material facts will be timely disclosed to the market.
