Rio de Janeiro, August 19, 2015 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras hereby declares that, in relation to news published in the media concerning the payment of a fine to the U.S. authorities, there are no ongoing negotiations regarding the eventual payment of a fine for the winding up of civil and criminal investigations in the United States regarding the violation of the anti-corruption legislation.

Nor has there been any decision by the U.S. authorities regarding the merit of such an investigation or the eventual amounts involved.
